Stir-fried noodles minus the need to stir-fry. Other than boiling noodles, all the cooking happens hands off in the oven on a baking sheet. Salty-sweet Japanese yakisoba doens’t require any special seasonings—you probably have them all. If you like, garnish with crumbled nori snacks or furikake and serve with pickled ginger, shichimi togarashi or lemon wedges.

neutral oil?
The ingredient list includes 3 tablespoons of neutral oil, but I don't see it mentioned anywhere in the instructions.

Minimal prep, great outcome
I am a huge fan of the Milk Street traybakes. They are minimal prep work, cleanup, and fuss for a solid meal. I had to use two separate trays for the bacon and the cabbage and then assembled everything on the bacon tray. I have a pretty accurate oven and the cook times were a bit less than in the recipe, as well. But it came out so good!
