Tandoori chicken traditionally is marinated for hours in yogurt and fragrant spices before it is cooked in a tandoor oven. Our weeknight-friendly, tandoori-inspired kebabs feature an easy marinade of yogurt, paprika, garam masala, cayenne and a few other aromatics. Just whirl everything in a blender, then combine with chunks of chicken. If you have time, marinate the chicken overnight, though even 30 minutes will go a long way to boost flavor and tenderize the meat. The marinade also helps the kebabs brown beautifully under the broiler. Serve with warm naan or basmati rice.

Delicious
I made it and I will make it again. It takes a bit to make the marinate. So next time I will marinate over night so I’m not in the kitchen for two hours.

Flavorful
This was so flavorful and easy to make. To make this even easier and simpler, I didn't cut my chicken into pieces, so I baked the chicken at 425 for about 25 minutes and only broiled the chicken for a few minutes at the end. I definitely want to make this again. I had rice and homemade naan as my sides.

Simple and Tasty
This made a great midweek meal only needing a quick run to the store for some plain yogurt. Could easily use shrimp with good results. Served with green salad. Would definitely do again

Delicious and easy!
Took the advice of other reviews and spaced out my chicken on the kebabs. Chicken had a great char and I even though I used breasts they stayed really moist. Dipping sauce was great too! Skipped serving with raw onion and did rice instead, delicious

Good flavor and easy to prepare
Good clear instructions and an easy recipe. The stir was out of sweet paprika so I had to go with hot smoked paprika. Along with the cayenne, some might find it a bit ok spicy but I liked it. I made the same mistake that some others did and packed the chunks a little too close together. Not a major issue but it would have been better to have some consistency in the char across the pieces. Perhaps the instructions should make note of this since it seems to be a common problem. However, the flavor was great and I would make the recipe again. Fantastic with basmati rice and naan!
